Anne’s paintings are inspired by her early life in Northumberland when she lived near the coast.
Painting on and off through the years in 2000 Anne took a leap and joined her local art society, she hasn’t looked back. Gaining experience and being inspired by other artists has helped her to grow her skills in watercolours, pastels, acrylics and now oils.
Anne has been teaching art classes at Leaside Community Centre, Ware since 2008 and at the Peace Memorial Hall, Codicote since 2013. She teaches watercolour, pen and ink and drawing along with the occasional pastel or acrylic workshop.
Anne is a popular tutor who has a “laid back” attitude and is often heard to say “don’t worry – it’s only a piece of paper”. Her sympathetic and encouraging approach gives confidence to both beginners and improvers who attend her classes.
