The workshops usually last all day and places are limited to twelve as this gives everyone time and space to work and means that Anne can help you all.
After beginning each workshop with a discussion about the medium and materials that will be used that day Anne then explains how she achieved her worked example. Throughout the workshop Anne will demonstrate the techniques you will require to complete your piece. At the end of each day you should have a completed painting to take home.
Anne chooses a variety of subjects for the workshops sometimes painting from a photograph while other subjects are taken from life. Although everyone comes along to learn we don’t take things too seriously and always aim for a fun time.
Having attended workshops where you are given a large and often expensive shopping list of items to bring along Anne has learnt that it is much better to provide equipment for everyone to use as part of the workshop fee. Anne’s philosophy is that you have to have reasonable materials to produce something you are happy with so we use good quality brand named equipment.
The workshops usually run from 9.30 to 3.30 with an hour break for lunch (not included). Free tea and coffee and the all important custard cream or maybe chocolate bourbon are available all-day.
